  • Food preparation and cooking:
  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring.
  • Cook dishes like appetizers, entrees, and desserts using various methods like grilling, frying, and baking.
  • Follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately, ensuring portion control and proper taste.
  • Plate and garnish dishes according to established standards.
  • Kitchen management:
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area and equipment.
  • Monitor food inventory, check for freshness, and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Properly store food, follow stock rotation procedures, and manage waste.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including temperature and HACCP logs.
  • Teamwork and communication:
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff, servers, and management to ensure efficient service.
  • Assist with menu planning and contribute to improving existing recipes.
  • Communicate any equipment issues or other concerns to management.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or culinary experience.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • A passion for food and commitment to quality and presentation.
