Job Description

At Cognex, we are seeking a highly skilled Key Account Sales Professional to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to drive growth and revenue in assigned accounts.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Identify and close profitable business opportunities at assigned accounts, while also identifying potential cross-selling opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their business objectives, plans, and challenges, and develop trust through regular communication and follow-up.
  • Develop a pipeline of well-qualified incremental business opportunities with a 12 to 24 month outlook.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of installed Cognex technology, including competitive products, to effectively demonstrate value to customers.
  • Play a lead role in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with the Applications Engineering team to coordinate evaluations and provide exceptional customer service.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of sales performance in the automation or similar industry, with a focus on solutions sales and longer, more complex sales cycles.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain long-term partnerships with key accounts.
  • Energetic, flexible, and capable of working independently, with strong time management skills.
  • Able to travel extensively across assigned territories, with a valid driver's license (if required).
  • University degree or equivalent work experience, with a proven sales record and ability to exceed targets.
  • Experience selling technical products to all levels of an organization, with a strong background in vision products (a plus).

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position that requires extensive travel.
