
Human Resource Business Partner

We are seeking a seasoned and gritty Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to be a strategic force multiplier for our core commercial and operational teams. This role is critical for scaling our organization effectively. We need someone who has lived the startup journey, someone who is equally comfortable building foundational HR processes from scratch as they are coaching leaders through hyper-growth. Your primary focus will be supporting our E-commerce, Marketing, and Supply Chain functions, ensuring our people strategies are as innovative and scalable as our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Be the Architect of Scale:
- Partner directly with VPs and Directors in E-commerce, Marketing, and Operations to translate ambitious business goals into pragmatic people plans.
- Act as the architect of our growth, designing and implementing scalable HR processes (performance management, career frameworks, talent planning) that can evolve with the company.
- Use a data-driven approach to analyze people metrics (attrition, engagement, productivity) specific to tech and digital teams, providing insights that inform business strategy.
Build and Develop A-Players:
- Lead strategic workforce planning for your client groups, anticipating the talent needs required to win in a competitive e-commerce landscape.
- Go beyond traditional recruiting; partner with talent acquisition to build innovative pipelines for digital roles (Growth Marketers, CRM Specialists, E-commerce Managers, etc.) and serve as a key closer for top talent.
- Champion a robust onboarding experience that immerses new hires in our unique "builders" culture and accelerates their time to impact.
Drive a High-Performance Culture:
- Elevate our performance management practice. Coach leaders on giving radical candor, managing low performers, and recognizing high achievers in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage compensation reviews and equity discussions, ensuring our rewards strategy is competitive for the startup/e-commerce market and motivates entrepreneurial behavior.
Strengthen Our Foundation:
- Proactively manage employee relations, fostering a culture of open communication and high trust while mitigating risk.
- Diagnose organizational health and design initiatives (e.g., team offsites, pulse surveys) to maintain high engagement and retain our best talent amidst the challenges of scale.
- Be a catalyst for change, guiding teams through organizational shifts, re-structures, and rapid iteration.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a dedicated HRBP role.
- Proven track record as an HRBP in high-growth, venture-backed startups and/or fast-paced e-commerce companies.
- Demonstrable experience supporting E-commerce, Digital Marketing, and/or Technology functions is essential.
- Experience building HR processes and programs from the ground up (you know what "good looks like" but can start with a MVP).
- Strong, current knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
