Job Summary

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef at Indus Hospitality located in Mumbai. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will assist the Head Chef in daily operations, prepare and cook dishes to high standards, supervise staff, and maintain exceptional food quality and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing menu items, ensuring timely delivery of dishes to customers
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including pastas, gourmet meals, and pizzas, adhering to established recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality control throughout the kitchen, adhering to industry regulations and company policies
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and implement new menu items, recipes, and cooking techniques, enhancing the overall dining experience

Requirements

  • Culinary expertise in European cuisine, with a strong understanding of ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation styles
  • Proven experience in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and maintaining high standards of food quality and hygiene
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff towards common goals
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling pressure and deadlines while maintaining composure
  • Certification or degree in Culinary Arts or related field, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary of ₹500,000 - ₹700,000 per annum, reflecting your skills, experience, and qualifications.
