Job Description: Project Head Kuraloi Coal Mines (Aluminium)

This role presents an exciting opportunity for passionate leaders to partner with Vedanta in its journey towards unlocking value for the business. As a Project Head for Kuraloi Coal Mines, you will play a pivotal role in operationalizing new mines and driving the company's vision forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all activities related to the coal mine, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute pre-startup plans to commence mine operations within set timelines.
  • Create budgets and project implementation strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including business partners and government agencies.
  • Drive statutory clearances for Environment, Land Acquisition & R&R, ensuring total compliance.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure SHES (safety, health, environment, sustainability) standards are met.
  • Promote digital transformation through the adoption of ERP, IoT, and software solutions to enhance productivity and decision-making.
Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 15-20 years of relevant experience in large-scale EPC-based projects in Mining business.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Project Head or equivalent position.
  • A B.Tech/B.E. degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
  • A First Class Mines Manager Certificate (Coal) is highly desirable.
