About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Expansion Manager to join our team at UnionPay International.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding and growing UnionPay Card acceptance into new and untapped categories. This involves building and supporting relationships with key stakeholders, developing tangible value and assets, and elevating and deepening the overall UnionPay Card engagement with acquirers and acceptance stakeholders as key customer segments.

In addition, the role requires coordinating with local acquiring and regulatory entities to ensure all local merchants' locations have the UnionPay logo or branded signage for brand awareness. The manager will also monitor and enforce UnionPay rules with merchants and acquirers, handle all reporting and compliance requirements, and coordinate internal resources, stakeholders, and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or above
  • 5-7 years' relevant experience in card acquiring/merchant industry; knowledge of payments/financial industry is essential
  • Self-driven, organized, and pro-active with ability to multi-task
  • Creative and commercially focused with excellent project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English; Chinese a plus
