Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our team at our hotel. As the Hotel Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's housekeeping department.

About You:

We are looking for someone who has excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of managing a team in a fast-paced environment. You should have experience in hotel operations and be familiar with industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

You will oversee all aspects of the housekeeping department, including staff management, training, and performance evaluation. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the housekeeping department, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively;
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality across all areas of the hotel, including rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas;
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements and health and safety standards;
  • Leading by example and promoting a positive work culture within the department;
  • Fostering strong relationships with colleagues from other departments to ensure seamless collaboration and communication;
  • Analyzing data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to optimize departmental performance;
  • Coordinating with external vendors and contractors to ensure that services are delivered to the required standard;

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills;
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and implement process improvements;
  • Familiarity with hotel software systems, such as property management systems and customer relationship management software;
  • Certifications in areas such as OSHA, fire safety, and first aid would be an asset;
