Sales Director for Higher Education Partnerships

Xebia-Academy is seeking a seasoned sales professional to lead our institutional partnerships in Higher Education across India and internationally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering relationships with universities and educational institutions to provide cutting-edge technology courses on their campuses. Key responsibilities include managing the pipeline for acquiring new university partners and new courses in conjunction with the product and university relations team.

This role requires a deep understanding of the Higher Education sector and experience in signing up university partners under the company's academic alliance program on emerging technologies for students pursuing BTECH and other UG programs in Computer Science. The incumbent will own the P&L and drive sales and revenue from various programs offered in partnership with prestigious universities and higher education institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sign up university partners for the company's academic alliance programs in digital technologies across India and the Middle East region.
  2. Own revenue targets and P&L, drive profitability from the business generated through new customers.
  3. Own the end-to-end renewal process for all existing university partners.
  4. Help launch emerging technology courses on university campuses, drive adoption by developing learner engagement programs, and curate course content to match university needs.
  5. Provide strategic direction to the operations and program management team and enhance the candidate learning experience for learners enrolled.
  6. Strategize and execute marketing campaigns for various courses offered in collaboration with university partners.
  7. Build and maintain executive relationships with university partners, including chancellors, owners, deans, HODs, and other key stakeholders.
  8. Market research and identify growth opportunities by introducing new training programs targeted to help individuals learn new technologies and gain hands-on experience using our digital learning platform.
  9. Maintain networking and working relations with Education/Training owners and functional SMEs to ensure timely engagement, transparency, and aligned decision-making.
  10. Stay abreast of defined technology standards, guidelines, and patterns and the latest technology trends.

Required Skills:

  1. Strong understanding of EdTech, online learning, and job-oriented technology courses offered in India.
  2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Higher Education with hands-on experience in curriculum, credit transfers, and disciplines.
  3. Excellent marketing/channel, relationship, and communication management skills.
  4. Entrepreneurial mindset and self-motivated with a clear vision to lead and add to organization growth.
  5. Results-driven; ability to work with senior university administrators and faculty.
  6. Excellent team player and relationship-building abilities.
  7. Excellent time management skills; meets deadlines.
