Job Title: Global Sales Development Director

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Global Sales Development Director to lead our Sales Development team in Asia Pacific. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and developing strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand our customer base in Asia Pacific.
  • Lead a team of Sales Development Engineers and Sales Development Managers/Team Leaders to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to optimize opportunity volume and quality, delivering a defined pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Strategize with Sales Leadership on headcount planning and recruit additional high-performing leaders and individual contributors to the team.
  • Deploy strategic thinking to drive higher lead conversion, break into key markets, and accelerate ramp time for new SDE hires.
  • Support the mentorship and development of the SDE staff, preparing team members for career progression and expanded leadership opportunities.
  • Liaise with Sales Operations and Enablement to generate data analyses and determine training curriculum priorities to minimize onboarding and ramp time.
  • Ensure we efficiently and effectively qualify inbound demand as well as develop outbound strategies per region while leveraging digital and field marketing resources for particular campaigns.
  • Plan, forecast, and understand ramp-adjusted capacity to ensure the team operates effectively, in tandem with the needs of our sales organization and the supply of inbound and outbound demand.
  • Partner with regional managers to develop campaigns that align with their regional goals based on a territory plan.
  • Partner with IT and Sales Operations to ensure the SDE team has the best tools to do their job, and that they are configured to ensure SDE efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage SDE reports and dashboards to ensure the results they deliver can be easily understood by stakeholders throughout the organization and offer valuable insights.

Qualifications:

  • You have at least 7+ years of experience in growing sales organizations, of which 5+ years have been focused on scaling global SDE organizations with experience in fast-paced technology companies.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales pipeline from large enterprise accounts managing outbound prospecting teams.
  • Responsible for creating and iterating the business development process, methodology, campaigns, hiring profiles, training, and enablement.
  • Power user of salesforce.com, SDE performance/activity management software, and analytics and reporting tools.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional alignment and coordination across sales and marketing teams.
  • Ability to attract, retain, and motivate exceptional SDEs and team leaders.
