This role involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the logistics industry. As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for building relationships with clients, generating leads, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and cultivate business relationships to generate new leads and opportunities.
- Build pipeline through prospecting and cold calling.
- Generate appointments and conduct presentations to clients to secure new corporate agreements for logistics services.
- Cross-sell products and collaborate with internal partners on joint calling activities.
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, leveraging various sources including industry events, trade shows, and online platforms.
- Quote prices, negotiate credit terms, and prepare sales contracts for new accounts.
- Submit weekly sales reports of business activities and results, working towards achieving sales goals.
- Attend sales and service meetings as required.
- Understand and support the company's goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate records and submit expense reports monthly.
- Manage and oversee the current client base.
- Collaborate with customer service coordinators to ensure up-to-date account activities and contract information.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems when necessary.
