Front Office Department Manager

Job Summary:
The Front Office Department Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Front Office department. This includes coordinating with various other departments to provide personalized, prompt, and flawless service to all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Staffing and scheduling of shifts and allocation of duties
Implementing systems and procedures to achieve higher cost efficiency and guest satisfaction
Facilitating learning and development for all team members
Performance appraisal and management of staff in the department
Operational Responsibilities:
Maintaining the log book and effective follow-up system
Checking the daily arrival list and monitoring VIP movement
Ensuring a pleasant stay for guests by supervising room allocation, smooth check-in and check-out, and special requirements
Coordinating with departments like Security and Housekeeping to ensure security, hygiene, and aesthetic standards are met
Acting as a 'One Point Contact' for guests and soliciting feedback
Preparing reports on occupancy, average rates, reservations, and other relevant metrics
Requirements:
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in hotel operations and management
