About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven Rice Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our agricommerce division, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategic relationships with key customers in Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate business strategies for various countries in Africa (East, West, and Central) to increase market share and revenue growth.
  • Manage key relations, drive sales, and customer relationships to achieve business objectives.
  • Enable business development for rice and identify opportunities to increase Olam's participation in the market.
  • Monitor the execution of business operations by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee payments/insurance and credit exposures (if any) for trades executed.
  • Implement risk management strategies, including commodity price positioning, credit, stock, shipment, and operational risks.
  • Understand key industry trends, markets, and customer requirements to provide tailored solutions.

Requirements:

  • A strong analytical, commercial, and communication skillset.
  • At least 7-8 years of experience in dynamic key account management business.
  • The ability to build strategic partnerships with customers and deliver win-win outcomes.
  • Ambition to build a career in the trading industry.
