Opportunity to join a Tier 1 solar company in India, as Sales Director (PV Utility).


This is a remote working role.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate the utility sector market and achieve sales targets.
  2. Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and lead generation activities.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in the utility sector.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of customer requirements.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments affecting the utility sector to capitalize on business opportunities.
  6. Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and contracts to potential clients, ensuring alignment with their needs and objectives.
  7. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company policies and objectives.
  8. Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market intelligence to senior management.
  9. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance visibility and brand recognition.
  10. Act as a brand ambassador, promoting our products, values, and commitment to sustainability.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a proven track record of success in selling PV panels or related products/services within the utility sector.
  3. Deep understanding of the Indian solar market, including regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  4. Strong network of contacts within the utility sector, including government agencies, utilities, developers, and EPC contractors.
  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  6. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  7. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Willingness to travel frequently within India as required.
