Overview


GloCoach aspires to be a sales-driven organization. As such, the Business Development Director, working directly with the CEO, is a crucial role for our future success. With a vision to be the market leader (by market share and customer appraisal) for corporate talent development in APAC, the BDDI will spearhead GloCoach's growth in India. After learning GloCoach’s methodologies, product offering and customer lifecycle, the BDD will demonstrate his/her ability by securing contracts from local companies. In parallel, the BDDI will begin to build a team of local Account Managers capable of executing on his/her vision for expansion within the local market. This mission-critical role will enable GC to diversify our revenues from mostly MNC-based companies, enabling GC to establish a foothold in the world's fastest-growing market, and paving the way for us to expand in global markets.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead by example: short-term, secure ongoing contracts with local companies. Focus will be on Multinational companies with corporate offices in India.
  • Support business development initiatives include assisting with activities assessing competitive landscape, business case development, conducting due diligence, lead generation and sourcing, and financial analysis among target companies with presence in India.
  • Establish and grow GC's base of local clients, to 10% of GC's total revenues within 18 months
  • Contribute to GC's product development and marketing
  • When the BDDI demonstrates success in securing new customers, recruit, hire and lead a team of local account managers with the ability to identify and penetrate local organizations, securing ongoing contracts. Leverage this team to multiply his/her knowledge of sales at the local level, resulting in a far greater growth in leads and deals.
  • Identify and update a shortlist of target companies
  • Assess and update sales standards, processes and coaching to help current and future sales team members accelerate their development.
  • Provide strategic insight to Marketing and Content Teams to ensure that GloCoach messaging and programs reflect customer needs.
  • Prepare business development documents, presentations, and briefing books. Develop, participate and deliver high level impactful presentations and conclusions to senior management and key stakeholders. Participate in deal construction and negotiations.

  • Is well versed in best-practices for managing the sales process and sales funnel
  • Fluent English is a must
  • Must have excellent analytical skills to understand market dynamics, determine appropriate strategies, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement


Commitment and Compensation

  • This role may begin as part-time, provide that the candidate is open to the potential for full-time employment
  • Compensation will be a highly competitive package that includes base salary, commission and stock options.
