Established in 2012 with a vision to make luxury accessible to the dear audience, our client has penetrated the wardrobes of fashionistas of Chennai.

Based at an upscale locality of Chennai, the store offers curated collection of more than 60 exotic labels and fashion gurus to cater to the diverse group, gender, and occasion.

The store is looking for a Store Director, who can manage the brand and the business vision. The position reports to the Founder.

Job Title: Store Director

Job Summary:

As a Store Director, you would hold the leadership position responsible to deliver the Sales revenue & growth, Managing Store Operations, Plan for promotional events to building the brand and driving store traffic, and driving the customer experience. This position requires strong Sales and Marketing skills, Brand promotion and management skills, a deep understanding of planning and execution for fashion clothing brands, and excellent people and customer management skills.  

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Sales Revenue & Growth: One of the primary responsibilities is to drive sales and achieve revenue targets. This involves creating sales strategies, setting sales goals, and monitoring sales performance. The Store Director should expand the customer base, drive store traffic, and optimize revenues.

The Director works closely with the sales team to empower them, motivate, and guide them toward achieving sales objectives.

Plan for Promotional Events: Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract customers and increase brand visibility is part of the role. This includes planning promotions, events, and collaborations with fashion labels to drive foot fall and sales.

Manage Store Operations: The Store Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store. This includes always maintaining the desired store ambience and visual merchandising standards, allocating responsibilities to store personnel and deal with issues that arise from operations, give directions, supervise, and guide staff towards maximizing their performance, maintaining desired inventory levels, and ensuring smooth conduct of the business.  

Customer Experience: Ensuring a positive and exceptional customer experience is crucial. The Director sets the tone for customer service standards, trains staff in providing excellent service, and handles customer feedback and complaints. Here the Store Director is expected to be the shining example of high standards and customer centric behaviour.

Strategic Planning: The Director contributes to the store's long-term success by participating in strategic planning. This involves analysing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and making informed decisions to adapt to changing market conditions.

Reporting: Prepare, share, and maintain reports on fashion trends, buying trends, inventory, growth and customer analysis, designer wise performance, competition figures, sales, profits, and other management information systems. Summary: The Store Director holds a pivotal role in delivering the business and brand vision.  


Requirements:

Education & Experience: An MBA in Sales & Marketing, with 6 to 9 years of experience with minimum 2 years of managing a store independently that is similar in stature and importance. Candidates having experience of managing luxury brands is preferred. Candidate must have a pleasing personality and must possess strong communication skills.

Knowledge of the fashion industry would be an added advantage.

Critical Skills: The candidate must possess strong skills across the following areas.

Sales & Marketing, Planning, Customer Management, Marketing and Promotions, Collaboration, Vendor Management, People Management and Negotiation.

Summary: Being a successful Store Director requires a diverse set of skills that encompass both business management and a deep understanding of the fashion industry. The position reports to the Founder. The compensation is likely to be between 12 – 14L per Annum
