What kind of therapy/product focused deals areBiosimilars or innovative or generics.57 yrs of relevant exp ininlicensing.
Overview of the role: Businessdevelopment and inlicensing efforts for UK/NORDISK market. Identifythe opportunity in terms of fitment to portfolio requirement getthe approvals internally due diligence with difft functionspresenting case for creation pipelines etc.
Externally liasoning with partners across differentgeographies partnering with different vendors to commercialise theproject/product.
BD Opportunities likeDistribution channel Intellectual property Licensing opportunitiesin assets Bringing product in different forms etc. Bringing productin different forms Idea to execution of contract.
Right from creation of Idea to execution ofcontract. To support the development of a profitable andsustainable pipeline in the UK Ireland and Nordicsbyidentifying and delivering commercial opportunities across marketsegments the remit will also
be taking responsibilityfor pipeline products that are shared across multiplemarkets.
Opportunities can take the form of developmentdeals (with contract development partners)
licensingdeals (with third party suppliers) or local distributiondeals.
Additionally to support the Head BD UK Irelandand Nordics with metric identification and
reporting forlocal BD activities.
Key responsibilities:
Idea generation
As a senior member of the regional BDteam to seek out and introduce differentiated ideas
aligned to current and future proposed business strategy &infrastructure delivering
sustainablerevenue.
Meeting with 3P developers CMOs dossierdevelopers and other pharma companies
Workingcrossfunctionally within the company providing timely feedback onideas and
accurate and complete input into internalpipeline management teams.
To develop robustsustainable rationales for business cases.
To identify& partner with CDMO partners for the delivery of pipelineprojects.
To work with the SAM team toensure CMO partners are consistent with supplychain
strategy
The development and management of Heads ofTerms and commercial contracts through
tocompletion.
The coordination of project due diligenceactivities (Regulatory / Quality / IP / Medical).Page 2 of 3 Work with thecommercial business units (primarily in markets where the companyhas a
direct sales presence or plans to build a directpresence) to identify new product
development licensingand portfolio optimization opportunities.
To leadongoing reviews of the business case prior to ProductLaunch
Alliance Management
To support theGlobal New Product Introduction team as a point of escalationsupporting
the removal of potential delays / negativematerial changes to the project terms and
deliverables.
To facilitate/ contribute to project /commercial meetings to support delivery of the project.
Portfolio / Project Management
To complete an appraisaldocument for all active projects. Working crossfunctionallyto
ensure that all project details are accurate and upto date including the P&L project
rationaleproposed timelines diligence activities and feedbacketc.
To ensure regular reviews are conducted andvaluations are consistent across the BD
Finance and BDplatforms
To feed all material project changes toPortfolio Management to ensure the accurate central
capture of project details and the Pipeline value andmix.
To attend all cross functional team meetings tosupport the development of opportunities
into projectsand onwards into deals.
To prepare and present theproject specific presentations necessary to receive eachstage
senior management if required.
