We are hiring a Business Development Manager to lead event expansion, secure sponsorships, and build global partnerships with Japanese Language Institutes.

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager (Events and Sponsorship) will drive Education Japan's growth through nationwide events, student engagement, sponsorship acquisition, and strategic partnerships. The primary focus of this role is securing sponsorships from Japanese firms and large IT companies while ensuring strong event execution across India.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Event Execution Across India

  2. Plan and manage education fairs, seminars, and workshops across cities and towns.

  3. Oversee logistics, budgeting, vendor coordination, and on-site operations.
  4. Ensure strong student turnout and alignment with organizational goals.

  5. Student Engagement and Outreach

  6. Implement marketing strategies to drive participation.

  7. Collaborate with schools, colleges, and student communities.
  8. Guide students during events on study pathways in Japan.

  9. Sponsorship Acquisition (Primary Function)

  10. Identify and approach Japanese companies, IT firms, and cultural organizations for funding.

  11. Create customized sponsorship proposals and pitch materials.
  12. Negotiate high-value agreements and maintain long-term relationships.

  13. Partnerships with Japanese Language Institutes

  14. Build and manage partnerships for co-branded activities and referrals.

  15. Strengthen collaboration through structured agreements and support.

  16. Business Development

  17. Identify new revenue opportunities and collaboration models.

  18. Maintain a strong pipeline of sponsors and partners using CRM tools.

  19. Reporting and Performance Tracking

  20. Report event outcomes, sponsorship revenue, and partnership results.

  21. Use performance metrics to refine strategies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in business development, sponsorship acquisition, or event management.
  • Proven track record of securing corporate sponsorships.
  • Strong network with Japanese firms and major IT companies preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing events and multi-city projects.
  • Proficiency with CRM and marketing tools.
  • English fluency; Hindi and Japanese knowledge preferred.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
