We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team in the Continental Cuisine department at JW Marriott. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience in the culinary industry, with a strong background in cooking and kitchen management.

Roles and Responsibility

  • Assist the Executive Chef in planning and preparing high-quality menus for special events and functions.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu ideas to enhance the dining experience.
  • Manage and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance on food preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure consistency and excellence in food presentation.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar role in a reputable hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of Continental cuisine and its various components.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage kitchen staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and technology, including point-of-sale systems.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques.
