
Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve regional targets for the mattress product line. The role involves managing a team of Area Sales Managers (ASMs), building dealer/distributor networks, driving revenue growth, and enhancing brand visibility in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies in alignment with company goals.
- Appoint and manage distributors, dealers, and channel partners across the region.
- Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Drive retail expansion through effective territory planning and network development.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to roll out regional promotional campaigns and schemes.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and resolve customer/dealer issues.
- Conduct regular market visits to maintain relationships with key customers and retailers.
- Provide reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a regional sales role in the mattress, furniture, or consumer durable industry.
- Proven experience in managing a multi-tier distribution and retail network.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of mattress products, materials (PU foam, coir, spring, etc.), and customer preferences.
- Existing network of distributors and retailers in the region.
- CRM or ERP software proficiency.
