Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and target-driven Area Sales Manager to lead our welding consumables sales in the South Region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing distributor networks, acquiring industrial clients, managing key accounts, and driving revenue growth for flux cored wires, MIG wires, SAW wires, and other products under the ULTRA brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company objectives
- Identify, appoint, and manage dealers/distributors in target cities
- Generate B2B industrial sales and handle institutional clients (steel plants, fabrication units, EPCs, OEMs)
- Conduct technical sales presentations and product demos
- Coordinate product trials, approvals, and vendor registrations with key accounts
- Monitor competitor activity and suggest strategic responses
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and payment collections
- Submit visit reports, market intelligence, and sales forecasts regularly
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams for smooth deliveries and service
- Attend regional trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events
- Ensure brand visibility and adherence to pricing policies
Requirements:
- Graduate in Engineering / Diploma (Mechanical / Metallurgy preferred)
- MBA in Sales/Marketing is a plus
- 5+ years experience in industrial/B2B sales of welding wires or related consumables
- Strong network with fabrication units, infrastructure companies, and distributors in South India
- Good knowledge of MIG, SAW, FCAW processes and product types
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Willing to travel extensively across South India
