Senior Key Account Manager
Job Overview:
The Senior Key Account Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving exceptional business growth through strategic B2B sales initiatives and the mastery of long-term client relationships. This role focuses on developing and managing relationships with the most critical enterprise clients, identifying and capturing major new business opportunities, and executing complex negotiations to deliver substantial revenue targets. The Senior KAM will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the company's market expansion strategy and accelerating revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Business Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive, multi-year strategic account plans to penetrate key target markets and generate high-value leads within the polymer distribution sector.
- Create and deliver compelling, executive-level sales pitches and presentations, custom-tailored to the strategic and technical needs of major prospective clients.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with C-suite and key decision-makers at target manufacturing and trading houses to initiate large-scale business discussions and strategic partnerships.
- Lead collaborative efforts with internal marketing teams to design and execute highly effective promotional campaigns that support significant sales efforts.
Relationship Management & Retention
- Cultivate and maintain robust, long-term relationships with existing enterprise clients to ensure maximum customer satisfaction, loyalty, and partnership depth.
- Proactively engage with clients to deeply understand their evolving technical needs and supply chain challenges, providing consultative solutions related to polymer distribution.
- Design and execute advanced customer retention strategies to maximize client lifetime value and significantly minimize churn within the top-tier account portfolio.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for key client concerns, providing timely, high-level support to maintain positive relationships.
Sales Cycle Management & Optimization
- Oversee and direct the entire sales cycle, from initial prospecting and qualification to complex contract negotiations and final deal closure, ensuring adherence to financial and legal guidelines.
- Track, analyze, and report on sophisticated sales performance metrics, using data to identify optimization opportunities and refine B2B and enterprise sales strategies.
- Coordinate seamless execution of client deliverables by leading cross-functional alignment with internal teams, including logistics, product development, and customer support.
- Spearhead the efficient utilization of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to maintain accurate records of client interactions, forecast sales activities, and manage the sales pipeline.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive experience in B2B or enterprise sales, specifically managing large, strategic accounts, with a proven history of consistently exceeding multi-million dollar sales targets.
- Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, capable of establishing and influencing relationships at the executive and C-suite levels.
- Demonstrated mastery of negotiation skills and complex deal structuring, with a track record of driving significant revenue growth.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate complex technical and logistical solutions.
- A graduate or post-graduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is highly preferred.
