Position Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager (ARM) will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent guest service, smooth workflow, and compliance with company standards. The ARM plays a key role in managing staff, maintaining quality and hygiene, handling customer concerns, and driving overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding guest service.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and hygiene standards as per company SOPs.
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism.
  • Support in inventory management, ordering supplies, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
  • Assist in staff scheduling, payroll inputs, and performance evaluations.
  • Work towards achieving sales targets, upselling, and revenue growth.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment to boost team morale.
  • Act as acting manager in the absence of the Restaurant Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in restaurant / F&B operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and customer service standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Flexible with work schedules, including weekends and holidays.
