U-Solar Clean Energy is a solar developer in India, headquartered in Bengaluru, that provides complete solar power solutions for industrial, commercial, and institutional clients. The company provides end to end solutions from design and engineering, project management as well as post sales services for solar projects. We have installed solar power plants through pay and own (CAPEX) and pay as you go (OPEX) models for our clients across India, as well as in international projects in Sri Lanka and Nepal. U-Solar Clean Energy is at a key turning point in its growth journey, evolving from a mid-size solar developer to a large-scale solar developer. About the Role:
The Solar Field Sales Executive shall be responsible for identifying prospective clients and generating qualified leads for solar power projects in the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) segment. The position requires engagement with key decision-makers to understand energy requirements, assess site feasibility through analysis of electricity consumption, load distribution, and available installation space, and facilitate meetings with the central sales and project teams.
This is a field-intensive role that demands structured market engagement, systematic follow-ups, and accurate documentation of all leads and activities on Zoho CRM. While the primary objective is lead generation and qualification, achieving project conversions and contributing to overall business development shall be considered advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential clients and generate qualified leads for Commercial and Industrial (C&I) solar projects within the assigned region.
- Engage with decision-makers such as business owners, project heads, and facility managers to assess solar feasibility.
- Conduct preliminary evaluations of energy consumption patterns, load requirements, and available rooftop or ground space.
- Collect and analyze electricity bills and other relevant data to determine project potential.
- Record and update all client interactions, site visits, and progress details on Zoho CRM in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings between clients and the internal sales or project teams.
- Conduct structured follow-ups to advance leads through various stages of the sales pipeline.
- Achieve weekly and monthly activity targets related to lead generation, client meetings, and sales support.
- Ensure all field activities are geo-tagged for effective performance tracking and regional monitoring.
- Maintain professional conduct and represent U-Solar Clean Energy with integrity in all client and market interactions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of solar energy fundamentals, including system sizing, site feasibility, and consumption analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of field sales processes and B2B lead generation techniques.
- Ability to interpret electricity bills and assess solar viability for industrial and commercial customers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with senior-level decision-makers.
- Proficient in territory mapping, client relationship management, and follow-up coordination.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently in field conditions.
- Fluency in English and regional languages (Marathi/Kannada) is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to accuracy and detail.
Software Tools:
- Zoho CRM – Lead and sales pipeline management (mandatory).
- MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – For reporting and documentation.
- Google Maps / Whatsapp/ Geo-tagging tools – For location tracking and site visit records.
- Basic familiarity with solar simulation or sizing tools (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) will be advantageous.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Commerce/Science/Arts.
- Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/EEE/ECE or related field.
- Certification or coursework in Solar Energy Systems or Renewable Energy Technologies will be an added advantage.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2–3 years of field sales experience, preferably within the assigned region.
- Mandatory experience in solar sales or EPC lead generation.
- Proven track record in B2B or industrial client engagement.
- Exposure to C&I solar market dynamics, including CAPEX and OPEX models, preferred.
- Possession of a two-wheeler and a valid driving license is mandatory for extensive field travel within the assigned region.

- Mumbai–Pune Belt
- North Karnataka Region
(This position is open for two regions — one based in the Mumbai–Pune belt and one based in the North Karnataka region.)
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
