Assistant Restaurant Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Assisting the Restaurant Manager in supervising all aspects of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Staff Management: Recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating restaurant staff (servers, hosts, kitchen staff, etc.). This includes delegating tasks, monitoring performance, providing feedback, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Customer Service: Ensuring exceptional customer experiences by addressing customer complaints and queries promptly and professionally, and training staff to uphold high service standards.
- Inventory and Procurement: Monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock checks, placing orders for ingredients, utensils, and equipment, and negotiating with suppliers for better deals.
- Financial Management: Assisting with financial tasks such as balancing cash registers, recording income and expenses, processing payroll, and contributing to budgeting and cost control efforts.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensuring the restaurant adheres to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Quality Control: Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and overall dining experience.
- Training and Development: Contributing to the professional development of staff through ongoing training and coaching.
- Marketing and Promotions: Supporting marketing initiatives and promotional activities to drive business growth.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is typically required. A college degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is often preferred.
- Experience: Previous supervisory experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is usually essential.
- Leadership and Management: Strong leadership, team management, and coaching abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, customers, and vendors.
- Customer Service: A strong customer-focused attitude with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Problem-Solving: The capacity to think quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in restaurant management software, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and basic accounting/arithmetic skills. Familiarity with payroll software is also beneficial.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in the restaurant industry.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the role demands.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing demands.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25, ₹55,000.00 per month
