Position Overview:

Hotel Chenthur Park, a premier hospitality destination in Coimbatore, is seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the hotel. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless service delivery across all departments, enhancing guest satisfaction, and driving operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a guest-centric mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

Supervise and coordinate the operations of various departments, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and security.

Ensure all departments work harmoniously to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Conduct daily briefings and department meetings to discuss performance, goals, and updates.

Guest Experience Management:

Monitor guest feedback from multiple channels and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Address guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring swift resolution.

Foster a culture of hospitality excellence and maintain high guest satisfaction scores.

Staff Management & Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads and team members to achieve operational goals.

Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff to enhance performance and service quality.

Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all areas.

Financial and Budgetary Management:

Assist in the preparation and management of operational budgets.

Monitor and control operational expenses to ensure profitability.

Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service standards.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure compliance with local laws, hotel policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Maintain safety and hygiene standards across all operations.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure the property and its systems are in top condition.

Collaboration & Communication:

Act as a bridge between departments to ensure smooth coordination and efficient workflows.

Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to align operations with promotions and events.

Report operational performance and key updates to the General Manager.

Strategic Improvement:

Analyze operational data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, guest satisfaction, and revenue growth.

Stay updated with industry trends and integrate best practices into hotel operations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.

Minimum 5-7 years of experience in hotel operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Strong knowledge of front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage operations.

Proficiency in property management systems (PMS) and MS Office Suite.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and efficiency.

Fluency in English and Tamil; additional languages are an advantage.
