Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve volume, value, and market share targets within the assigned area.
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Sales Officers / Sales Representatives, providing continuous performance feedback and on-the-job development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key retailers and channel partners to maximize business opportunities.
- Ensure effective distribution reach, visibility, and availability across General Trade, Modern Trade, and seasonal outlets.
- Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and corrective actions.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to implement promotions, in-store activations, and new product launches.
- Monitor and review outlet-wise performance of sales-generating assets (freezers, carts, kiosks), and proactively redeploy low-throughput assets to high-potential outlets.
- Track, analyze, and report sales performance, secondary sales, stock movement, and scheme effectiveness, providing actionable insights to management.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, reviews, and training sessions to ensure high team productivity and motivation.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and beat plans, and work towards achieving financial and profitability objectives.
- Develop and implement customer retention and loyalty initiatives to enhance repeat business and long-term relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, credit norms, and cold-chain standards across the territory.
- Stay updated on industry developments, seasonal trends, and competitive practices, recommending necessary adjustments to sales strategy.
