**Job Description**:
Job Title: Banquet Sales & Events
Function: Events
Location: Lonavala

Primary Purpose

Is responsible for managing events and ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to. Directs coordination of activities to prepare for the day of the event.
Major skills and accountabilities of position (4-6 major accountabilities)

1. Must be skilled in project management, Computer savvy and proficient in MS Office.

2. Outstanding communication and negotiation ability.

3. Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management.

4. Excellent organizational skills, a team player with leadership skills and a knack for problem solving.

5. The ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Responsible for planning and on site execution of large events.

2. Reviews all Banquet Event Orders on a daily basis to determine staffing levels, location set-up, related supplies and decorating materials.

3. Ensures events are set up on time, the quality of the product and level of service delivered.

4. Maintains and improves on an ongoing basis the presentation of all events at the facility.

5. Responsible for maintaining inventory, storage areas, and preparation of inventory reports preparation of proposals for significant expenditures such as new theme parties, equipment.

6. Provides input on menu design and revisions.

7. Monitors overall convention/banquet areas for cleanliness and any maintenance issues.

8. Manage activities of Banquets services in specific area MICE or Weddings or outside Catering to maintain and improve productivity, quality, service, creativity, and guest satisfaction.

9. Events sales manages markets, sells and coordinates event space on behalf of a hotel, restaurant, or other venue provider.

10. Handles customer inquiries and he is the SPOC for all event details.

Experience and qualifications required for the job

BSc/BA in PR, Sales & Marketing, Hospitality management or Event Management degree /diploma, or related field is preferable. Should have proven experience as Banquet Sales & Events of minimum 5-7 years of experience.
