Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to support the daily operations of our world-class dining venues at our luxury resort and spa in the beautiful Canary Islands. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional guest experiences while assisting in the management of restaurants, bars, room service, and event catering operations in alignment with the resort's brand and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:Operations & Service Excellence
- Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, poolside service, and banqueting.
- Ensure consistent delivery of outstanding guest service and quality in line with 5-star standards.
- Support the F&B Manager in planning and coordinating service activities and special events.
- Monitor F&B areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health regulations.
Staff Management
- Supervise, train, and motivate front-of-house F&B staff.
- Participate in scheduling, performance evaluations, and shift planning to optimize labor efficiency.
- Foster a positive and professional team culture that emphasizes hospitality and accountability.
Inventory & Financial Oversight
- Assist with inventory control, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
- Monitor daily sales, labor costs, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Help implement cost control measures while maintaining high service standards.
Guest Relations
- Act as a point of contact for guest feedback and ensure prompt resolution of issues or complaints.
- Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience and build relationships with returning clients.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all F&B operations comply with local laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety , and workplace safety at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in a luxury hotel or resort F&B environment.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage service, menu planning, and wine/spirits.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English and HINDI ; other languages are a plus.
- Proficient in POS systems and MS Office; knowledge of inventory or scheduling software is a plus.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Hospitality or F&B-related degree or diploma preferred.
