Director of Sales Operations

The Director of Sales will lead and manage all day-to-day activities related to the sales function, with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property sales objectives. This includes achieving personal booking goals and making recommendations on booking goals of direct reports. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership, with experience in developing and executing sales strategies, maximizing revenue, managing sales activities, analyzing and reporting on sales and financial data, ensuring exceptional customer service, building successful relationships, and managing and conducting human resource activities.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Work with the sales leader to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segment.
- Revenue Maximization: Provide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential (e.g., sets example with personal booking goals).
- Sales Activity Management: Monitor all day-to-day activities of direct reports and approve space release for catering to maximize revenue.
- Customer Service: Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies customer service, and creates a positive example for guest relations.
- Relationship Building: Develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Human Resource Management: Interviews and hires management and hourly employees with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the operation.
Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major;
* At least 3 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the hospitality industry;
