Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Sales Desk, ensuring seamless management of sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Development Manager to develop and implement strategies for sales growth.
  • Lead a team of 15 Sales Desk Managers, providing guidance and support to drive sales through telephonic communication.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, focusing on life insurance planning techniques and case development.
  • Provide sales tracking, reporting, and analysis to support business decisions.
  • Work closely with the LPC Team, Sales Promotion, Marketing, Product, and Operations teams to establish class advisors and resolve field queries.
  • Establish a governance rhythm and expectations with the team, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Onboard and continuously skill and train SDMs, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
  • Drive advisor activation, retention, and growth, as well as conduct quality checks on work done.
  • Identify improvement areas and implement action points based on agent surveys.

Measures of Success:

  • Increase activation, NOP, and premium in the given agent segment.
  • Achieve the goal sheet provided at the start of the year.
  • Satisfactorily resolve queries received from the field.
  • Maintain a feedback rating of more than 4 out of 5.

Key Competencies/Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of internal and external best practices.
  • Excellent people management and cross-functional skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Hindi, with a willingness to learn and coach others.
  • Proficient in selling skills, hiring, and selection, as well as development of team members.
  • Expert in relationship building.

Desired Qualification and Experience:

Postgraduate in any stream with a minimum of 15 years of experience in case development and life insurance planning techniques. Strong industry knowledge, particularly with the competitive landscape.
