About the Role
Cognex is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Development Manager to lead the growth of our sales organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales pipeline growth, developing and executing business development strategies, and managing a team of sales development engineers and managers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development strategies to drive sales pipeline growth and revenue
Manage a team of sales development engineers and managers to ensure they have the skills and resources needed to succeed
Collaborate with sales and product teams to optimize opportunity volume and quality
Strategize with sales leadership on headcount planning and recruit high-performing leaders and individual contributors to the team
Deploy strategic thinking to drive higher lead conversion, break into key markets, and accelerate ramp time for new SDE hires
Requirements
7+ years of experience in growing sales organizations, with 5+ years focused on scaling global SDE organizations in fast-paced technology companies
Proven track record of delivering sales pipeline from large enterprise accounts and managing outbound prospecting teams
Power user of salesforce.com, SDE performance/activity management software, and analytics and reporting tools
Ability to drive cross-functional alignment and coordination across sales and marketing teams
Ability to attract, retain, and motivate exceptional SDEs and team leaders
