
Sports Franchise Marketing Strategist

The ideal candidate will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive marketing strategy for a leading sports franchise. This includes overseeing marketing campaigns, driving fan engagement, managing sponsorship activations, and collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver measurable outcomes.
This role requires a strong understanding of marketing principles, including brand communication, digital marketing, and sponsorship management. The successful candidate will have experience coordinating with agencies, vendors, and partners, as well as possessing strong leadership, project management, and negotiation skills.
A key aspect of this position is the ability to work in fast-paced environments with tight timelines, while maintaining a passion for sports and fan engagement. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field, and 5-8 years of experience in marketing, preferably in sports, entertainment, or media.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual marketing and communication plans aligned with business goals
- Design and implement integrated campaigns for matches, players, and fan engagement
- Manage digital platforms, including website, social media, and fan apps
- Coordinate with creative and social media agencies to ensure brand consistency and timely delivery
- Collaborate with sales teams to support sponsorship acquisition and activations
- Organize and oversee marketing for local tournaments, the league, and other major events
- Drive match-day promotions, contests, and community outreach programs
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee merchandising strategies and execution
- Oversee production of collaterals, advertisements, and media communications
- Track marketing KPIs, campaign ROI, and present regular performance reports
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field
- 5–8 years' experience in marketing (preferably in sports, entertainment, or media)
- Proven expertise in digital marketing, sponsorship management, and brand communication
- Experience coordinating with agencies, vendors, and partners
- Strong leadership, project management, and negotiation skills
