Equipment Sales Assistant Manager Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales and Business Development Lead to join our team as an Equipment Sales Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong relationships with customers, and contributing to the development of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, including existing and new clients, to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  3. Collaborate with the sales and business development team to develop and implement sales strategies and plans.
  4. Provide sales support and guidance to less experienced team members.
  5. Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities and competitors' strategies to drive business growth.
  6. Forecast and report sales performance by segment, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
  7. Contribute to the development of the sales and business development team, including mentoring and coaching.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform business decisions.
  9. Interface with the quality assessment and regulatory board to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4-6 years of experience in sales and business development, preferably in the equipment sales industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ability to travel, as required.
