Procurement Manager Job Description

This role involves overseeing the entire procurement process for indirect categories such as IT, office supplies, consulting services, facilities, human resources, and marketing.

  • Developing and implementing sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings and value is a key responsibility of this position.
  • Leading Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Quote (RFQ) processes to select suppliers and negotiating contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with vendors are also essential tasks.
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and identifying opportunities to optimize the supplier base and reduce procurement risk are critical components of this job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing end-to-end procurement processes for indirect categories.
  • Developing and executing sourcing strategies to deliver cost savings and value.
  • Leading RFP and RFQ processes to select suppliers.
  • Negotiating contracts, pricing, and service level agreements with vendors.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues related to quality, service, or delivery.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize the supplier base and reduce procurement risk.
  • Collaborating with finance and legal teams on budget alignment and contract terms.
