Job Description

As a Risk Manager, you will play a vital role in elevating risk management practices across interconnected processes, controls, obligations, and risks. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Enhancing risk management strategies to foster seamless interconnectivity.
  • Providing critical support for key business activities, including Risk Reviews and Risk Reporting.
  • Embarking on a journey of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and productivity enhancement.
  • Proactively managing risk by adhering to all policy and compliance requirements, performing necessary controls, and escalating events, issues, or breaches as they arise.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • 7-15 years of experience in the financial institution sector – preferably with expertise in risk management (or a strong willingness to learn).
  • A comprehensive understanding of 'Operational Risk' practices, encompassing obligations, risks, and controls frameworks.
  • Experience in governance and reporting.
  • Technical proficiency in utilizing software such as Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint, and more.

Qualifications

For this position, we require a tertiary or postgraduate degree in Risk, Finance, Commerce, Law, or a related field.
