Strategic Public Market Account Manager

Astellas Pharma is a leading pharmaceutical company seeking a skilled Strategic Public Market Account Manager to join its team in Delhi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the registration and growth of Astellas products in public market institutions.
About the Role:
The Strategic Public Market Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales, raising demand, and ensuring timely payments for Astellas products. This individual contributor will engage with key decision-makers at various public market accounts, building strong relationships and understanding the market, stakeholders, customers, and competition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chartering New Growth Avenue: Develop strategies to drive sales numbers and business for Astellas brands in government and semi-government institutions across assigned zones.
- Leveraging Growth Opportunities: Identify tender opportunities, participate in tenders, and initiate processes for registering newer molecules in major institutions.
- Engaging KOLs and Key Decision Makers: Map potential territories, develop new KOLs and KDMs, and build sustainable relationships with them.
- Collaborating with Stakeholders: Work with trade sales teams, distributors, and collaborators to enhance product purchase and indents.
- Financial Recovery: Ensure timely payments for supplies made to institutions and adhere to process requirements.
Quantitative Dimensions:
- Make product entry and repeat purchases in major government institutes.
- Enhance awareness for Astellas brands in public market accounts and create financial legroom for disease areas of interest.
- Drive long-term engagement strategies between institutes and the organization.
Requirements:
- Business Skills: Proven experience in key account management, sales, and result-driven approaches.
- Collaborative Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge: Understanding of key stakeholders in public accounts, channel partner identification, and domain knowledge proficiency.
Work Experience:
The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in key account management roles engaging stakeholders/treaters in core public market areas like defense, CGHS, Railways, ESI, etc. Additionally, 5-7 years of experience in sales functions in haematology-oncology segments with innovator brands would be beneficial.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Science or Pharmacy is required for this position. The estimated salary for this role is ₹1,200,000 - ₹1,800,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
