System Support Engineer

We are seeking an experienced System Support Engineer to fill a key role in our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical support, with expertise in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and technical assistance via phone, email, and ticket system
  • Conducting advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of technical issues
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and enhance processes
  • Mentoring and training junior engineers on technical skills and best practices
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce issue resolution time

Requirements:

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in technical support, preferably in a managed services environment
  • Advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems, server virtualization platforms, and business continuity disaster recovery solutions
  • Experience with IT service management and monitoring tool sets, as well as cloud infrastructure management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Desirable Skills
  • Certifications in Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, Certified Ethical Hacker, CISSP, AWS Certified Practitioner/Solution Architect, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, Red Hat RHCSA/RHCE, ITIL v3/4 Foundation/Six Sigma Black Belt/PMP
  • Experience with unified communications platforms, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles
