About the Role

The Executive Director of Dairy Sales will be responsible for leading and managing the sales function within the dairy industry. This position is integral to the organization's success, driving revenue growth and market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets.
  • Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop innovative sales strategies to expand market presence.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to provide insights for decision-making and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with product offerings.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with key accounts and partners.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, revenue, and market conditions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, competitive activities, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide leadership and direction in sales forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning and decision-making as part of the senior management team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 7-10 years in sales management, preferably in the dairy industry.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Deep understanding of the dairy industry, market dynamics, and consumer preferences.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop sales plans and forecast sales trends.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and manage key accounts.
  • Proficiency in sales CRM systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend events, and visit regional offices.
  • Strong business acumen and financial management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions within a complex organization.
  • Strong commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Certifications in sales and marketing management are a plus.
