Proposal Engineer Job Description

Develop high-quality proposals that address customer needs and highlight the benefits of partnering with our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer interactions and market dynamics.
  • Lead proposal execution processes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Contribute to the development of execution strategies that align with overall business objectives.
  • Receive and interpret customer enquiries, understanding their specifications and challenges.
  • Work closely with operations organizations and suppliers to review proposal strategies.
  • Create competitive cost proposals that optimize solutions while maintaining competitiveness.
  • Participate in pre- and post-sales customer meetings, as well as tender clarification meetings.
  • Become proficient in all products and solutions to improve proposal efficiency.
  • Ensure full compliance with legal and company requirements, including trade compliance and ethics.
  • Follow record retention policies and accurately document information.
  • Enforce PMO Proposal workflow guidelines and procedures to streamline execution.
  • Independently handle vendor RFQs and evaluate quotes, making informed decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Good knowledge of various types of meters, analyzers, and key product types and applications for gas & liquids measurement.
  • Competency to size flow meters and valves.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills and productivity.
  • Flexibility to learn new things and understand different cultures.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 02 to 10 years of experience in segment-specific applications, preferred experience in managing concurrent mid-complexity proposals.
  • Participation in a buddy program and coaching newly joined team members.
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office applications.
