Procurement Specialist for Marine Spare Parts

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for an experienced procurement specialist to source and procure marine spare parts, consumables, and technical equipment for vessels.
  • The ideal candidate will identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and high-quality products.
  • Strong relationships with vendors and service providers are essential to ensure reliable support.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • To process purchase requisitions from vessels and fleet management teams efficiently.
  • Accurate and timely order placement, tracking, and follow-ups are crucial.
  • The role involves coordinating with logistics and supply chain teams to arrange timely delivery of goods to vessels at ports worldwide.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support the monitoring and control of procurement budgets.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Review and verify supplier invoices and ensure accurate documentation for payment processing.
  • Ensure timely clearance of invoices in the system and follow up on pending payments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of vessel maintenance and dry-docking requirements.
  • Familiarity with international maritime regulations.
  • Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software.
  • Experience in international logistics and customs clearance for marine spares.
