Job Title: Technical Purchasing Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with Superintendents to ensure prompt supply of technical spare parts and ship repair services.
  • Handle purchasing activities, arrange logistics, and coordinate the delivery of spares to vessels worldwide.
  • Send requisitions to suppliers for quotations of annual/bi-annual/5 yearly/10 yearly services for Navigation equipment, FFA & LSA, underwater inspections, and hull cleaning.
  • Collaborate with vessels on information required for requisitions and follow up with supplier quotations.
  • Prepare purchase orders, delivery orders, proforma invoices, and packing lists.
  • Assist in logistics arrangement (air freight/sea freight/land transport/sea transport).
  • Liaise with agents and ships for supply of spare parts and repair services at convenient ports.
  • Process invoices – verify vendor invoices against quotations and ensure timely processing within credit term periods.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in spares stores services and technical purchasing.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices.
