Business Development Strategist

We are seeking a skilled Business Development Strategist to join our team as a Customer Advocate. In this role, you will work closely with our owners to influence specifications and promote Johnson Controls products and capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the operations team to submit quotations as required, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Conduct market surveys and make marketing and sales presentations to owners as needed, coordinating with the Service Department for maximum results.
- Maintain existing customer relationships and continue to develop new business opportunities.
- Resolve any differences between customers on contract matters, expectations, and other issues.
- Prepare proposals, drawings, and quotations as necessary for customers, showcasing our expertise and value proposition.
- Secure orders, manage profit margins, and work with the operations team to ensure commitment.
- Keep accurate records of all jobs tendered or quoted and provide regular updates to the Business Manager.
- Deliver weekly activity reports to the Business Manager, highlighting progress and challenges.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing and sales plans to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Your experience in business development, sales, or a related field will be invaluable in driving success in this position.
You should also have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitor analysis. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems is essential, along with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
