About the Role

The Revenue Management Director will be responsible for managing the Reservations Department and Revenue Management activities of the Resort to achieve budgeted goals. This includes understanding and applying occupancy and rate principles to maximize yield.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Control room availability and rates according to established guidelines to optimize occupancy and revenue.
  2. Coordinate group inventory and allocations with the Director of Sales and/or Director of Marketing, developing and implementing policies and procedures for revenue management.
  3. Operate and manage Property Management Systems and monitor Delphi Marketing Management System.
  4. Produce and analyze various reports, recommending and implementing actions to maximize revenue, including Daily/Weekly Occupancy and Revenue Forecasts, Monthly Market Segment Forecast, Booking Pace by Segment, Red Date Analysis, Rooms Inventory Report with Group Displacement, Arrival/Departure Patterns, Phaser Report, RateView Reports, Rate Resistance/Turnaway Report, Suite Inventory Forecast, Month End Suite Analysis, Booking Source Analysis, Pivot Table Reports, and Data Mining.
  5. Develop and publish a monthly analysis/report summarizing month-end reservations activity.
  6. Establish and manage Published, Package, and Negotiated Rate Strategy Tiers, Segment Ceilings based on historical and current demand, incentive plans/programs for Reservations agents and managers, Rate/Yield Strategy Worksheet, Rate/Yield Strategy within PMS, Front Desk Upsell program, and Front Desk Perfect Fill Program.
  7. Maintain favorable working relationships among employees to promote maximum morale, productivity, and efficiency.
  8. Develop and mentor the Reservations/Assistant Reservations Manager for future advancement.
  9. Display high levels of integrity and professionalism at all times when interacting with guests and employees.
  10. Participate in scheduled departmental and Administrative meetings as requested; Yield, Forecast, Department, Pre-Con's, Board of Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Annual Revenue Management Conferences.
  11. Respond according to crisis management plans in case of resort emergencies or safety situations.
  12. Comply with Four Seasons standards for sales and marketing while working harmoniously and professionally with coworkers and planning committees.
  13. Comply with Four Seasons Category One and Two Work Rules and standards of conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  14. Assist with guest inquiries within the sales and marketing department, including handling high telephone volumes and walk-in site inspections.
  15. Assist in developing direct sales presentation materials for both travel industry and group sales.
  16. Assist in creating the annual Marketing Plan and Annual Budget.
  17. Coordinate Worldwide Reservation Office visits and special activities.
  18. Establish relationships with Reservations Managers in the city and at Four Seasons, identifying potential candidates for future recruitment.
  19. Perform additional tasks or projects assigned by the Director of Marketing.

Requirements

Education: College education required.

Experience: One to three years' experience in a Reservations Manager capacity with Four Seasons or another related organization.

Skills and Abilities: Comprehensive computer and analytical skills, superior guest service and salesmanship skills, revenue/yield management skills and experience, proven success as a previous Reservations Manager, ability to manage multiple tasks, improve efficiency, and productivity.
