Role:

To drive the success of Walking Tree's operations, we seek a seasoned professional to oversee the planning, organization, and execution of our day-to-day activities. As the Operations Head, you will be responsible for delivering business expectations and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and align a manufacturing strategy that aligns with the company's strategic and financial direction, in collaboration with stakeholders and functions.
  • Establish, plan, and control functional and investment budgets for the Production department.
  • Drive mastery of production processes knowledge and management through organizational capability improvement strategies.
  • Promote and improve product quality by improving yields, eliminating escapes, and enhancing manufacturing processes.
  • Build a strong culture of compliance with adherence to quality system requirements and corporate policies.
  • Partner with process engineering and product development teams to seamlessly transition new products into production.
  • Ensure proactive engagement, representation, and support by Manufacturing for Development Projects to ensure future products meet operational efficiency goals.
  • Develop effective communication and positive working relationships with other departments to determine priorities and achieve production goals.
  • Design and drive Continuous Improvement Plans across policies, procedures, and systems to bring efficiency in operations in alignment with business goals.
  • Play a pivotal role in assessing and addressing issues while streamlining operating infrastructure, consolidating administrative functions, organizing labor, and enhancing purchase methodology.
Key Functional Competencies:
  • Understanding of the Local Jewelry retail market.
  • Passion for jewelry/fashion.
  • Research-oriented and keeping oneself updated with luxury market trends.
Preferred Experience:
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in handling Operations profiles.
  • Experience in family-run businesses will be preferred.
  • Experience in skilling people, handling larger teams, and human resource orientation would be valuable.
