Job DescriptionA Key Account Manager is responsible for handling client accounts in a company, focusing on the highest percentage of income-generating clients. The goal is to build and maintain strong relationships with these clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, aptitude in networking, and goal-oriented qualities. They should have an in-depth understanding of key clients and their industry positions.
This role requires:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Self-motivation and self-direction
- Experience in handling key accounts
As a Key Account Manager, you will:
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
- Anticipate client needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines are met
- Bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and develop new relationships with potential clients
- Collaborate with the sales team to maximize profit through up-selling or cross-selling
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics
- Handhold customers until revenue realization
