Key Account Manager for Utility Division

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Key Account Manager to lead our Utility Division sales efforts. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven ability to prospect, commercialize, and maintain high-value accounts.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a territory management plan to drive growth in the Utility Division. This includes identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and providing technical support to ensure industry-leading service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prospect continuously for new clients and develop strategies to acquire new business.
  2. Analyze local market trends to identify market opportunities, prospective companies, and associated buyers.
  3. Develop and submit proposals and responses to queries issued by prospective clients after obtaining pricing and specifications approval from management as appropriate.
  4. Manage customer projects and trails to ensure industry-leading service and support.
  5. Interface with Customer Service, Sales, Operations, and Technical teams as needed.
  6. Maintain good relationships with existing clients and explore business enhancement opportunities.
  7. Proactively identify and engage with key decision-makers in the company's business segment, providing product presentations and technical support.
  8. Meeting all customer representatives and providing detailed product knowledge.
  9. Maintain good working relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  10. Coordinate with technical service teams for application support/complaints, etc.
  11. Develop relationships with customers, internal partners, and external partners while fostering their confidence in respective product lines.
  12. Monitor trends in the industry by working with customers, trade organizations, and brand owners, using this knowledge to set priorities for growth efforts.
  13. Participate/exhibit trade shows to market new and existing products.

Requirements:

  • B.E. (Mech.) / Electrical degree or equivalent experience
  • 10-15 years of industrial Business sales experience
  • Background in working with national highways, infrastructure, EPC for infrastructure growth, lighting, road safety, infra project sales
  • Proven ability for technical selling and ability to prospect, commercialize, and maintain accounts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate to a variety of audiences
  • Strong technical background and excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated team player with exceptional people skills and character
  • Sound IT computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience
