Business Development Manager
Job Description:This position oversees a team of customers to achieve sales targets. The goal is to identify new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing direct and indirect business partners, driving channel partner performance to increase market reach, and ensuring timely account receivable collections.
They will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, assess their credit worthiness, and conduct regular in-person follow-ups to maintain strong relationships.
The selected individual must comply with all relevant policies and demonstrate high levels of ethics and integrity.
Key responsibilities include developing new methods for mapping prospects and generating leads, promoting core products within customer accounts, directing product demonstrations, conducting training workshops, attending industry conferences, and facilitating government tendering processes.
Additionally, they will manage distributors, develop market coverage strategies, engage channel partners, conduct quarterly reviews, and provide sales training.
Account management involves developing strategic relationships, providing customer consultation, managing account receivables, reporting competition updates, and identifying new business opportunities.
The role requires alignment with product verticals and other functions, improving understanding of new and existing product ranges, and highlighting disconnects between sales and other business functions.
