Job Summary:

The Commis I will be responsible for maintaining a high level of service in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the correct recipe and quantity. This role requires strong commitment to teamwork, product knowledge, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge, including ingredients, cooking techniques, and presentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of food, including cooking, plating, and garnishing.
  • Ensure that all mise en place is freshly prepared and on time.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve high-quality service and presentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of high school education or degree in Culinary Arts.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • Oral proficiency in English language.
  • Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Ability to speak other languages and basic understanding of local languages will be an advantage.

Work Environment:

This role is based in a fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills.
