Job Title: Assistant Manager Food and Beverage Service
Job Summary
Accor is seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Manager Food and Beverage Service to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the management team in supervising junior team members, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision of junior team members and casual labor to ensure all tasks are completed on time and according to departmental standards.
- Coordinate and assist in opening and closing duties to ensure all settings are completed according to standards and procedures.
- Take and record restaurant reservations, cancellations, and reconfirm reservations through phone calls or email daily.
- Take food and beverage orders according to guests' requirements and preferences.
- Deliver food and beverage services in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
- Ensure all food and beverages are served according to service standards.
- Upsell and promote food and beverage offers at every opportunity to maximize sales revenue.
- Remember individual patrons' names and preferences to extend personalized service.
- Apply necessary precautions regarding hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Collect food and beverage supply requisitions and ensure stock is collected as per requisition.
- Handle guests' complaints and comments tactfully and efficiently, reporting any complaints, incidents, or irregularities to management.
- Supervise and assist in assigned work station activities and oversee outlet operations in the absence of management.
- Assist other Food and Beverage outlets with operations during peak times or when required.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage services, contents, and preparation methods, outlets, and hotel services/features.
- Be well-versed in hotel fire and life safety/emergency procedures.
- Attend all briefings, meetings, and trainings assigned by management.
- Report for duty on time, wearing clean and complete uniform at all times.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
- Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the Management of the Hotel.
Qualifications
Qualifications include a degree or diploma in Hotel Management, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English, good communication and customer contact skills, and well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
