Solutions Lead Developer (E-commerce Marketplace)
Role Summary
Own and implement technical architecture, platform scalability, and security. Act as the bridge between business vision and technical execution. Should be a leader and self contributor.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership in startup/Saas/marketplace environments.
- Define and develop platform architecture (Laravel, Redis, S3, Stripe, SES).
- Implement coding standards, GitHub policies, CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement APIs for n8n workflows and integrations.
- Observability, monitoring, and cloud cost optimization.
- Work with vendor Dev team and guide DevOps.
- 6+ years in software engineering/architecture.
- Strong Laravel + micro services background.
- Experience with AWS stack, Stripe Connect, and CI/CD.
- Ensure secure, scalable, and testable code.
- Document workflows and escalate technical issues.
- Ensure operational SLAs are met.
Qualifications
- 5+ years PHP Laravel development.
- Strong in integrating APIs, Redis, S3, Stripe.
- Proven experience leading in house and outsourced teams
Experience with
- Infra/Hosting: DigitalOcean/Hetzner OR Laravel Forge for click-provision + deploy;
- DB/Cache/Queue: MySQL 8 or Postgres 15; Redis for cache/queues; Laravel Horizon to monitor queues.
- Object Storage: S3 or Cloudflare R2 (+ CDN).
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions (free); zero-downtime deploys via Forge or Deployer.
- Payments & KYC: Stripe Connect (Standard) + Stripe Identity, Stripe Tax for US/CA tax automation.
- Automation Orchestrator: n8n (self-hosted)
- Crash, Logs, Uptime: Sentry (free tier), Better Uptime OR Uptime Kuma (self-host), basic log shipper (Vector) to Logtail.
- Analytics: Plausible (privacy-friendly), Metabase on DB replica for product & finance dashboards.
